A "Must Have" Book Series for Kids
Ever wish you knew about more books and TV shows that were wholesome, entertaining AND educational for your kids?
Before we were introduced to this book series, it seemed like we had to sacrifice entertainment for education, or education for entertainment.
And so many times we found ourselves cringing as we read a new book to our kids knowing the underlying message was NOT aligned with our family, faith and finance values.
What if you could actually have it all?
Fortunately, we were introduced to a series that allows our kids to learn some really important lessons and Riser and Haven WANT to learn them (because they’re entertaining and engaging).
Introducing: The Tuttle Twins
The Tuttle Twins are a series of children's books that teach important lessons about freedom, money, and taking charge of your own life.
Each book follows Ethan and Emily Tuttle as they go on adventures and learn about stuff like why it's important to make your own choices, how money works, and why we should care about our rights.
Essentially, they make learning about big ideas simple and enjoyable for kids (and yes, us parents) alike.
Are my kids too young OR too old for the Tuttle Twins?
Our 6 year old son, Riser, really started getting into the books at age 5. Haven (currently 3 years old) enjoys listening in too, though. Most nights when Riser goes in his room to pick any book he wants us to read from our large bookshelf, he comes back with one of the Tuttle Twins stories.
This series has inspired Riser to start his first business (lawn mowing business), inspired thoughtful family conversations around the dinner table about the role of government and what impacts business markets, and even helped Riser and Haven learn about how to treat people well in their book on the Golden Rule.
(They have this series for ages 5-11, but also another series for ages 12+)
Riser’s favorite character right now is Atlas, in book #7. It’s a little worn around the edges because it is well loved and read.
They have their very own show?
In addition to the book series, the Tuttle Twins do have a show with similar stories you can watch.
Simply get the show for free here (https://www.angel.com/signup/tuttle-twins) or download the Angel Studios app (also free).
We do our best to limit screen time, but these have been great to have for road trips. They do a really good job of making it entertaining for kids, but also getting us parents to laugh with subtle humor.
“If you don't design your own life plan, chances are, you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” - Jim Rohn
We believe this Jim Rohn quote also applies to our kids.
If we don’t create a plan for them to grow their minds with the right stuff, by default you leave that plan up to somebody else (who doesn’t care about them as much as you do).
Nobody argues it matters to put the right things in your kids minds at an early age…especially with all the BS that’s out there these days.
